Cooking classes
Cooking classes are organized into series of four classes. Each cooking class covers a balanced menu of 4 to 5 dishes. We discuss the basic health benefits of each food, the energetics of specific dishes, the cooking methods, utensils, cutting techniques, and the proper use of fire, water, pressure, salt and time. We learn how to make homestyle macrobiotic dishes and how to turn them into meals that are healthy and satisfying.
Lecture series
Lecture classes are organized in series of four to five meetings, according to subject. Classes discuss the principles of macrobiotics, diet, way of life, philosophy, as well as current health, nutritional and scientific information. The material is introduced gradually, from more general to more specific. There is plenty of interaction including question and answer periods.
